Initial Oral Examination
Your initial oral examination includes a consultation with the doctor about any concerns that you might have, followed by a clinical examination, cancer check, TMJ exam, charting of decay and fillings, and periodontal probing of all teeth. We will also take x-rays, which may include a panoramic x-ray and bite-wing x-rays for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth. or Full mouth series of x-rays depending on what is necessary. Normally there is a second appointment with the doctor, included as part of the cost of the exam, to review the findings of the exam and together come up with a plan to get your mouth healthy.

Implants
Implants: This latest technology allows us to replace the missing teeth with new root forms. We can use these roots to hold in a partial denture, to support fixed bridgework, or to hold a single crown. We are only limited by the amount of bone in the jawbones. The advantage is that they feel like your natural teeth. The disadvantage is the cost. Your x-rays show that you most likely would have adequate bone for implants.. Read More...

Veneers
Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain or plastic cemented over the front of your teeth to change their color or shape. Veneers are used on teeth with uneven surfaces or are chipped, discolored, oddly shaped, unevenly spaced or crooked. Read More...

Crowns and Bridges
Crowns are synthetic caps, usually made of a material like porcelain, placed on the top of a tooth. Crowns are typically used to restore a tooth's function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal. When decay in a tooth has become so advanced that large portions of the tooth must be removed, crowns are often used to restore the tooth

Fixed bridgework: The advantage of fixed bridgework is that the forces can be better controlled. Since the teeth support the bridge, there is more force placed on the teeth holding the bridge but the forces do less damage because there are no moving parts. The disadvantage of fixed bridgework is that since the teeth are connected, it is more difficult to floss between the teeth but with a little practice, it can be mastered. The other disadvantage is it takes more time and money to replace the same amount of teeth as a removable partial due to the increased time and expertise needed to restore a mouth with fixed bridgework. Your plaque index must be 85% or better before we will do any crowns or bridges. For your mouth to be restored with fixed bridgework, you would need multiple implants.. Read More...

Teeth Whitening
Whitening procedures have effectively restored the smile of people with stained, dull, or discolored teeth. The darker tissue of your teeth, the dentin, can become exposed as the outer layer of enamel is worn away by the effects of aging or things like caffeine and tobacco. Read More...

Root Canal Therapy
Root canals are tiny passageways that branch off from beneath the top of the tooth, coursing their way vertically downward, until they reach the tip of the root. Read More...

Toothaches
Simple toothaches can often be relieved by rinsing the mouth to clear it of debris and other matter. Sometimes, a toothache can be caused or aggravated by a piece of debris lodged between the tooth and another tooth. Avoid placing an aspirin between your tooth and gum to relieve pain, because the dissolving aspirin can actually harm your gum tissue. Read More...
